Livestation TV on Your Computer

WOW. WOW! That’s all I can say! I checked out Livestation, a free software download that enables you to watch TV stations from all around the world. I am impressed!

There are about… 50? different channels or so, right now. But they include CNN, NASA TV, Fox, Warner Bros. Cartoon network, the Discovery Channel, and more. You can watch streaming TV with this little program. It’s a little slow at times, but the shows are still very watchable. I love this program! I’m sure I’ll be making good use of it.

When you download Livestation, they ask you for an email and password in order to use the program. I have a hunch this may be for tracking purposes, but I’m not sure. They *say* it’s for “enhanced” usability and to make a custom experience for you… eh. And the Terms of Service were a little fuzzy and technical point “g” has some wording about revealing information about the program– wha?). So, read and use at your own risk, if you think it’s a risk. I like it and will probably use it.

The interface is very friendly. The program starts up with a bried tutorial about their little buttons and what they mean. It’s pretty easy to catch on about how to use the program. When I first started it up, I thought, “Is that how tiny the pictures will be?!” but then I figured out how to make the pictures larger, and even how to go full screen and back. It’s a nifty little program, especially for me who doesn’t have regular TV, and it’s FREE!
