I spend just about all day in front of the computer. I work from the Internet (writing all sorts of ads and assignments, stuff like posts about Outer Banks rentals or reviews on the latest vacuum cleaner, etc), but I also do a lot of searching and researching about technology and fixing computers and electronics. Sometimes finding the right resource is like trying to find a needle in a haystack, ykwim? But there are days when I feel like I hit the jackpot. Like the other day. Ahhhh. I was looking for a good tutorial on how to restore an Asus Linux machine to factory settings. My own experiments were not working, and I needed some help. After spending what seemed an eternity, I found this: Restoring and updating the ASUS Eee Linux PC. Wonderful!
And having a blog is a wonderful thing. Because I can blog about what I have found and make a record of it here. In the future, when I may need to find that article again, I can simply search here for it, and go back to it. Smart, huh?

Mrs. M —
thank you again for all your great info and leads. I always come to your website first when I’m trying to figure out a problem. So your “record” helps all of us!
Bummer to see snow this morning in Cooperstown. I was tricked into thinking spring was on it’s way!

Oh my goodness, you got snow down there?!?! Noooooooo! lol
No snow (pray pray) here. I hope it doesn’t come back. I’m always so hopeful in mid-March…
Thanks for your really kind words! Feel free to email me if you need a tip. I will try to answer what I can.

Thanks, I appreciate that! Your info has already been a huge help and I’m sure I’ll keep coming back for more.
I’m really new at this and I’m trying to do it myself; hoping to make it look “classy” and not too “cluttery.” I have a long list of things I want to do, but my hours are relatively limited. My little guy is almost a year, so you probably understand. But I’ll get there!
Enjoy the rest of muddy season. I’ll try to keep the snow in our neck of the woods!
