I admit, as much as I like to participate in various social networking and tinker with technology gadgets, I’m usually pretty slow when it comes to joining them. I’m cautious, and I don’t like starting something that I am not sure I will be able to follow through. So when it came to the wildly popular Twitter, when it seemed that EVERYONE was joining and tweeting away, I remained watchful. I wondered how long Twitter would endure (I am still wondering, lol!), and how long people would be interested in the thing.
Twitter is basically a messaging service. But it’s bigger than that- you can “follow” people (anyone from celebrities to the mom-next-door), and they can follow you. Twitter allows for very brief snippets of conversations back and forth. And by brief, I mean brief– 140 characters allowed. I’m a wordy person, so I find that difficult. 
Anyway, I finally joined Twitter. If you are interested in following me, here’s my little button.

I’m still experimenting with Twitter– and finding cute little plugins like TwitterFox for the Firefox browser, and widgets for the blogs.

I’ve been a member of Twitter when it was still beta. I was using a different account then. and now ever since I decided to be an active blogger, I’m using it almost everyday of my online life.
