This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Snipsly. All opinions are 100% mine.

Looking to make a few bucks online? Do you like to write articles or stories? Here’s something that may be for you: Snipsly. It’s a blossoming organization that allows you to earn money for anything you create and publish online: articles of any kind, short stories, long stories, videos, and photos. There are a few basic but important rules to be successful at Snipsly. You must never plagiarize; articles must have a minimum of three sentences. Longer articles are acceptable, but on the Internet, shorter articles tend to generate more interest. You cannot submit obscene material or promote illegal activities, etc. There’s a concise and simple Rules page at Snipsly, as well as a helpful FAQ and other information.

So how does Snipsley help you to earn money? In a nutshell, you earn money via Google AdSense. Your publisher ID number from your Google AdSense account (and you must have an account to write at Snipsly) tags along with your submitted content. Advertising shows 20% of the time, and you earn 80% on all ad-related revenue.

If you are a talented and speedy writer, you can certainly make some extra cash with Snipsly. And such writing is a good discipline if you are serious about improving your techniques or speed. I don’t think you’ll get rich from Snipsly (you won’t get rich from Google AdSense, that’s for sure), but if you like to write, Snipsly provides a nice way to earn a little money on the side, very easily.

Blitzing Fast Internet Speeds WIth Charter Ultra60

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Charter. All opinions are 100% mine.

I watched a documentary about the history of Apple Computers; it was fascinating. The best part of all, I thought, was the comparison of the Internet of 15 years ago, and the Internet of today. Holy cow, the Internet used to CRAAAAWL through the wiring back then, eh? So much has changed, and we are connected to the Internet is so many ways that were unthinkable back then. We use our computers for the kids’ education, but also for word processing, financial management, and especially now– for our entertainment. I am a real sucker for LOL Cats videos! And we create and upload a lot of videos we’ve made, share photos, listen to music, and stream movies.

It doesn’t seem that too many Internet Service Providers are keeping pace with the online demands of their consumers. Some companies are, like Charter. I’ve been watching this company for over a year now (I can’t wait until we can get service in my area); Charter has consistently listened to its customers by offering their superior service and speed. They’ve also had some very nice giveaways, too.

The latest Charter development is the Charter Ultra Fast 60, a blitzing-fast connection– one of the fastest in the U.S. It had it’s beginning in St. Louis where it was wildly successful (no surprise there), had spread to Southern California, and is FINALLY coming to the Northeast in the near future; Charter hopes to cover its own areas with this new “phatband” technology by 2010! It promises speeds up to 60 Mbps, a nice wide-open pike for sending and receiving huge files, watching movies, gaming, and more. Sweet!

You can go to the Charter website to check out the new Charter Ultra Fast 60 service, look around, see what’s new. I like Charter. I have heard only good reviews about them, and they really seem to be attuned to the customer.

Making the Most of Your Advertising Strategy

I am in the advertising business, of a sort. I write advertisements, both on my blogs and as an independent contractor for various advertising firms. It is not an easy business (but I suppose none is). It’s even more difficult, creating and implementing an advertising strategy. The Internet has opened up a new world for advertising, yet due to the vastness of the Net and it’s fluidity, it is difficult getting concrete results. How do you know that your advertising reaches the segment of people you aim for? How do you even begin to create a strategy, let alone implement it? The Internet has radically altered advertising for small and large businesses alike; and because the Internet is constantly developing, strategies or programs that worked in the past are no longer as effective. For example, several years ago, it was advised to any serious business that it get a website to offer information about services and “get the name” out there. Today, the Internet is glutted with websites. Now the issue is getting your website and/or product or service visible, and more. The advertising scene is constantly changing; how does a company manage it all?

One answer is to partner with a marketing strategy team, such as C-4 Analytics Measured Social Media Marketing. Internet advertising has become a science, and teams like C-4 have attentively studied and implemented a successful method. They offer some of the following:

  • On-staff psychologists who study patterns and adjust online experiences to increase sales and your return of online investments (ROI).
  • Contribute to viral campaigns, social media (which is extremely hot right now), search engine optimization (SEO), press releases, and more.
  • C-4 follows users from initial clicks to sales, giving their analysts all the more information to determine and tweak successful campaigns and strategies.
  • Save you money on outdated methods (such as PPC clicks, which are not as effective and can be very costly– some as high as $50 per click!).
  • and more…

Advertising is not an easy method, not in this new vast, diverse world of online marketing we have today. Check and see if partnering with marketing strategists will save you money– I’ll bet it will!

Web Design and Content Management Services

I try to be the “Do It Yourself” kind of gal, in everything from electrical wiring to landscaping to blog design. But some things are way over my head. And if you run any kind of small (or large) business, not only is content management and Web Design over our heads, oftentimes we do not have the time or resources to put everything together. And take it from me– a classless, sloppily-built design or e-commerce site makes a very, very bad impression indeed.

Thus, with this in mind, I’ll put a bug in your ear if you have need of some help: Great Minds Design. They are a top-notch company based in Los Angeles and London, comprising of a brilliantly talented, motivated group of designers and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) geeks. They will create your website’s unique, creative, and functional web design; will code your design with the latest web technology; and build the site so that it is search-engine friendly and easily read by all the major search engine bots (Google, Yahoo, Ask.com, Bing).

If the Great Minds Design website is any precursor to what is to be found in the talent of the company, then Great Minds is superior! The web site is very, very classy! Check out the portfolio to get an idea of their style and service offered. Looks great! You can visit their website, or call their offices: in Los Angeles: +1 310 425 9639; London: +44 (0) 7796 955 335.

Get Bids for Your Graphic Needs

Well, this is a very interesting concept: crowdsourcing. I’ve been seeing it done by news outlets, but this is the first I’ve seen for a design need.

Crowdsourcing is outsourcing a task to a “crowd” of people, kind of like an open call for something like employment, or services needed. My local news organization has been doing this for a long time, regarding their annual calendar fund drive– they ask the public to submit photos for the weather calendar. A certain group of people vote on the selections, and the winners get their photos published in the calendar with attribution. The news company makes out well– they sell the calendars for $20 a piece. Nice.

Anyway, crowdsourcing is a new way to get out your need to a large group of people; but that’s the thing- how do you go about this? There’s a website called Prova.fm and they are making known their ability to help small businesses (and of course, large businesses) and individuals with their graphic needs. For example, let’s say your new business needs a logo and a website. Through Prova.fm, you can have advertisement design contests– inform them of your needs and how much you want to pay, and Prova.fm can connect with experienced designers from all over the world to submit their designs and ideas.

Prova.fm is having a promotional event: they’re offering 1,000 free printed postcards and business cards for your business for signing up with them; see their site for details. Crowdsourcing is knd of cool!
