Free Audio Uploading Site

I was recently on a hunt for a p;ace where I could store my audio tracks– preferably for free. The video-sharing sites abound, it’s crazy there are so many! But I have had a difficult time finding a site where I can upload my audio.

Then, Kim Komando comes out and announces one! Cool. 8-)

It’s called Zoopy. It’s free. I haven’t tried it out yet because I am still sifting through all my audio; but it looks very good! It has an embeddable video/audio player which you can use for blog posts (perfect for me! I do a lot of tutorials and it’s helpful to have audio and visual aids). Check out the terms of service. Looks good. I’ll have a full-fledged review on it after I’ve tried it for a while.

A Perfect Phone for Music Media Lovers

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of LG Chocolate Touch. All opinions are 100% mine.

Cell phones are traditionally meant, well, for phone activity! All the extra tweaks and perks of a phone, such as camera, mp3 player, video recorder, and etc, are peripheral inclusions. Verizon has decided to change that, with their beautiful LG Chocolate Touch. It’s a sleek, lovely design; the phone is a phone, yes; but it’s designed for the media loving, social networking, music listening person. Verizon has really outdone themselves with the LG Chocolate, and left the competition in the dust! I saw the phone at Best Buy, and it is gorgeous. The music quality is superb. The LG Chocolate Touch is receiving high ratings for it’s Dolby Mobile technology. It has some really, really sweet perks:

  • Send and receive calls and texts just like any phone, but the LG Touch is geared for social networking: it has a One touch “Social Network Message Key” for easy blogging on the go, to Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, and more.
  • It provides “Mobile Media,” which is very high-quality visual (photo and video) and audio voice and text messaging, with Visual voicemail.
  • The camera, a 3.2 megapixel, takes very clear photos and videos. The LG includes an image editor, too.
  • There are numerous visual effects, and the LG handset will vibrate to the beat of the music playing!
  • It is the Dolby Mobile technology that makes the LG Chocolate Touch really stand out– the audio is crystal-clear, very nice!
  • The screen is very responsive. That’s a nice change from some of the others I’ve seen, where you have to hammer on the screen to get it to do anything!

The phone is a music-lover’s, social media fan’s dream come true. It is so much easier to have in one small gadget everything you need for phoning, texting, listening to music, AND mobile blogging. I’ve read some reviews by C|Net and PC World, and they give the LG Chocolate Touch great ratings. It is a beautiful phone, and the audio quality is incredible. Check out the website for more details about the phone.

A Superior Media Backup and Burner Program

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of 123 Media Max. All opinions are 100% mine.

This is timely. It’s a superior media backup and burner software program, very affordable and just in time for the holidays; not only as a gift, but also as a way to create gifts. With the personal computer becoming more powerful, with peripheral media creators and software becoming more user-friendly and affordable, we can now create our own videos! Moreover, these videos can be copied and burned onto DVDs for family and friends to enjoy, too.

OK I’m jumping the gun here. This 123 Media Max is very versatile software, and does many things. Moreover, it boastsBlu-Ray Copy Breakthrough which allows you to make backup copies of Blu-ray movies to standard DVD-RW, retaining the excellent HD quality.

The list of features is extensive, too extensive for me to list here entirely. But these are the main features the 123 Media Max software offers:

  • Convert audio files and CD tracks to mp3s for easier editing and managing.
  • Convert video files to DVDs.
  • Convert any DVD to DivX, AVI, Windows Media Video (WMV), and MPEG4 files. (wow!)
  • Make your own ringtones from CDs, mp3s and audio files
  • Convert and burn YouTube, Google Video, Metacafe, MyVideo, blip.tv, Putfile, Break and Myspace videos to DVD.
  • Backup Blu-ray movies to DVDs; the copied DVDs retain high quality and are playable on DVD players or your Sony PS3.
  • Back up any DVD movie to DVD.
  • Make a DVD from multiple video files; you can the audio and video pieces independently, too!
  • Loads more

I make a lot of audio and video compilations, so to me this software looks fantastic. Plus, we have some very valuable DVDs and DVD collections that would break my heart if they became damaged or corrupted. And Blu-ray movies are pricey– the 123 Media Max backup feature is a perfect way to have backups on hand in case anything happens to the original. Or, if you are like us, use the backup copy and store the original for safe-keeping.

Check out the software. This would make a very nice gift for any audiophile or movie maker or movie buff on your gift list. It’s affordable and looks really nice! Make sure to go to the website to check your computer specifications before purchasing.

Ten Minute Financial Lessons

Now that I’m self-employed, I’m much more interested in finances and investing. I admit that I am a complete dunce when it comes to such matters. But I was visiting Entrecard blogs and came across the Wandering Economist. This blogger has compiled several “10 Minute Lessons” about finances and etc. I’ve liked reading this blog– he makes the boring topic of finances rather interesting and speaks in simple language. I thought I’d pass the link along, see here for the page of audio files. This could be a good place to send homeschooling kids to learn more about economics and finances, or just to educate yourself (like me). The audio files are free to listen.

MPEG Encoder Software

FINALLY! Boy, these things are hard to find. I’ve been on the hunt for quality video encoding software for months. I am beginning to do a lot of video and audio work here at home, and the kids are experimenting more with it, too. My four children are becoming excellent musicians, and are starting to lean toward making their own audio and video files. I am also looking to expand my travel blogs with more video. I’ve been displeased with some of the encoding software, because so many of them are SO difficult and complicated to use. This Blaze Media Pro that I found looks very good. This is from their website:

Blaze Media Pro is powerful, all-in-one media converter, editor, burner, and ripper software application supporting all popular media formats, audio and video conversions, audio CD ripping, video construction, video decompiling, audio editor and recording, audio and data CD burning, video CD (VCD and SVCD) burner, video DVD burner…

It does everything but boil eggs. Yowsa. The cost of the product is $50, but there is a free 15-day trial period; the link is here. I haven’t downloaded it yet, but I think I will. I’ll give an update when I do. Check it out yourself, and feel free to leave a comment.
