Winners of the iLasik Contest

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Incendia Health. All opinions are 100% mine.

A few months ago, I mentioned a very nice contest called the “You Gotta See This” iLASIK Video Contest. It was by Abbott Medical Optics Inc. (AMO), a Lasik vision correction company. The prizes were spectacular. Entrants had to create videos showing how Lasik laser surgery had changed their lives. The Grand Prize was for $5000!

The winners have been announced. The winner of the $5000 Grand Prize is Alex, and you can see his winning video here– he made a music video. The other video winners *look* good (pun intended!), too! I love some of the creative titles: Contacts Stink, Orbs of Perfection, Foggy Riding, and others. They are very creative videos, too. We cracked up over the “iLASIK Would Make Surfing More Enjoyable” video, lol! And Robbo got First Prize, which was an HDTV package valued at $2500. Sweet. Here is the video, lol.

Sheesh, I wish I had entered! I love video contests! :(

Well congrats to the winners! You can *see* the winners and their videos at the iLASIK Video Contest website, where you can learn more about the benefits of laser surgery, how the surgery is done, safety questions, and more; and you can also register to get eye care products and updates.

An Amazing Contest From Charter

This has got to be the motherlode of all Charter contests!

Charter High Speed Internet is having a Camaro Sweepstakes– yes, they are giving away a Camaro!

I’ve mentioned the Charter company before. I think they are a rising star in the world of Internet service. At a time when other companies are acting like Scrooges by clamping down on bandwidth usage, raising prices, and creating masses of dissatisfied customers, Charter is rising up to offer outstanding prices, excellent service, and promotions such as their latest Camaro Sweepstakes. Charter has has a string on contests– they’ve given away laptops (one a day for two months), HDTVs, Xboxes, a Hybrid car. Now, it’s a beautiful 2010 Camaro 2SS.

How to enter?

  • If you order any Charter service online, you are automatically entered.
  • The promotion is open only to residential customers who live in the Charter service areas.
  • There is no purchase necessary to enter.
  • The contest began September 15th and is running until November 26, 2009, at noon.
  • Be aware that sales tax IS included in the prize! Wow!
  • Go to charter.com/camaro to read more detailed rules and regulations.

Unfortunately, my rural area does not yet have Charter Internet service. :( I’ve been eagerly waiting for it; I hope it will be available by next year. You can check to see if your area is covered; just go to the Charter website to see. You can also find out more about the sweepstakes, Charter promotions, and great Charter services at Charter on Facebook. And you can keep up to date instantly on Charter news and developments with Charter on Twitter. Good luck!

An iPod and Macbook Giveaway From NetFirms

Oooo would I just LOVE to win a MacBook. I’ve been on the prowl for various giveaways lately. And here’s one that practically dropped into my lap this morning: the Netfirms contest that’s got an iPod Touch and a MacBook as prizes, up to $1800 in value!

In a nutshell, here’s how to enter the giveaway (yes, it requires a little work, but isn’t a MacBook worth it?!:

>> In Twitter, send this tweet: “Win a #free iPod Touch or Macbook from the @Netfirms #contest. Domain registration services via Twitter http://bit.ly/yJfJK” and it counts as one entry. Plus, one RT (Retweet) equals one entry per day.

OR

>> Register a domain name through Netfirms Twitter Domain Registration service for $7.99 (that’s a great price, by the way), and that counts as one entry. How you do this is: Register your Twitter username to your Netfirms Control Panel (you have to have an existing account or create a new one). Then, through Twitter, send NetFirms a DM (Direct Message), asking them to register a new domain for you. They will automatically register it and bill you if the domain name is available. NetFirms will send you a confirmation via DM, and your new domain is set to go! This is a great way to register a new (and inexpensive) domain and enter a contest at the same time. They’ve got a quick How-To video on how to enter via SMS:

>> The NetFirms Giveaway is running from September 9, 2009 to October 7, 2009.

See the Netfirms contest page for more details and rules and regulations.

Ditch the Remotes with the Sleek Yamaha neoHD

Remember the good old days when life was simpler? That is– when we just had ONE remote? Maybe TWO? But holy cow, look at our skyscraper of remotes!

SkyscraperRemotes

And from what I hear, that’s a SMALL amount compared to other families that have Xboxes, 4-5 TVs, separate DVD players, BluRay players… I don’t know how people can handle them all. I once got a cheapo “universal” remote, but it died after a year. And that thing was very difficult to program, too. And it only accepted ONE TV and ONE DVD player. SO while it’s really great having all these remote-controlled electronics, drowning in all the remotes is not fun, not fun at all. And we have two remotes that are identical- crazy!!!!

RemoteGroup

OK, so if you are in the same remote boat as me, this will be very good news for you:

The Yamaha neoHD! This is a simple- so simple I could cry– electronic device that will effortlessly manage all your remotes devices and electronics equipment. Wow. There are some outstanding videos that show how the Yamaha neoHD works. It’s works using an HDMI connection and a flat-screen television device or projector.

In a nutshell, the Yamaha neoHD is a high-def video and audio device. It provides a very sleek and very simple remote control and console. You can control your entire home entertainment system with the Yamaha neoHD, including your HDTV, satellite box, BluRay and DVD player, your music stereo system, iPod, game console, and more. This is the new wave in remote electronic technology! And it looks so beautiful. The Yamaha neoHD controls all these devices from your TV and an onscreen interface. The “initial setup” of the device is intuitive, as well. The technology is amazing.

Nice thing is that there’s a Yamaha neoHD Sweepstakes – win a free Yamaha neoHD! This is one of the easiest contests I’ve ever entered. There are three ways to enter:

  • Go to the Yamaha neoHD Sweepstakes post at the IZEA Blog and leave a comment why you nee the Yamaha neoHD. It shouldn’t be too hard at all, especially if you are swimming in remotes like we are.
  • Go to Twitter and tweet this: “I just entered to win a #neoHD b/c I have too many remotes, visit http://bit.ly/JMsW3.” That’s how I first heard about the contest!
  • Visit OhGizmo.com and ForeverGeek.com, read their reviews about the Yamaha neoHD, and leave a comment.
  • You can find neoHD on Facebook, too– the official rules are there. Check the Yamaha neoHD Sweepstakes for more info.

This is a very cool contest, and the prize is definitely a winner– an $800 value. Check it out! The sweepstakes ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on August 24, 2009.

Easy Online Contest

Here’s a cool and super-easy contest for you frugal freaks out there: subscribe to the AMIClubwear YouTube channel, and enter to win a $300 gift certificate from AMIClubwear! Yowsa! $300 is not chump change, either. Here’s the scoop, briefly, on the official contest rules:

  • There’s no purchase necessary to win.
  • The contest is open to anyone 18 years of age or older and is a legal U.S. resident.
  • The contest began on May 28, and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on June 24, 2009
  • All you have to do is subscribe to their YouTube videos!

Now, some of the videos are a bit… mature. Others are pretty good, so be forewarned. This was a nice one, about putting on makeup properly. She does it so fast! I admit, I haven’t learned any new makeup techniques since…. uh…. 1982? But I think the young lady in the video looks so pretty without makeup, anyway. ??

Be sure to check out the official rules and the contest if you are interested. $300 is a lot o’ money!

HDTV Contest at Charter.com

Looking for a smashing deal on bundled telecommunications service? Charter might be just the thing you’re looking for. They’ve got some excellent promotions going on right now, and Charter gives you the ability to customize your package with their “Bundle Builder.”

Moreover, Charter’s promotion includes a very nice giveaway for new and upgrading customers: win a 22″ flat screen HDTV for the month of April! Charter is giving one of these HDTVs away every day for April. And the Grand Prize is even nicer: a 52″ LCD flat screen HDTV, with a Home Theater System and one year of free Charter Digital Cable® service with HD programming. What a deal! If you are an existing customer, or become a new customer, ordering phone, cable, or high-speed Internet service, you are automatically entered to win.

-1

Charter’s promotional giveaways are some of the best in the tech field, I think– and definitely the most popular. Last year I remember they gave away an XBox 360, several nice laptops, and a gorgeous 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid.

At any rate, Charter’s bundled service is great, and fully customizable for your own needs. Charter is responding to a slump in the reputation of cable companies– Charter has been going out of their way to give customers what they want how they want it, to offer fun contests to generate interest in the company, and most of all, are starting new ways to connect with their customers (like starting a Twitter account @chartercom) for excellent service. So if you are looking for that extra-special touch and great service– not to mention some really cool prizes– check out Charter at their website.
