A Search for Boca Raton Attorneys?

shopbuttn

Gosh, you can find just about EVERYTHING on the Internet now. Even Boca Raton attorneys!! How often do you go looking for that everyday, huh?

Actually, I’m so “hooked” on the web now that I go straight to the computer when I am looking for everything. One of my jobs is searching for information on the Internet, and writing articles about things. The caveat to online companies, such as law firms, is that anyone can build a website and pretend to be something they are not. Finding an attorney to represent you, for example, is a highly sensitive and personal quest. How on earth do you know you’ve found the right one? Well, I’m glad you asked!

1. Check the website for contact information. Any firm worth their weight in salt will post the names of their attorneys, telephone numbers, and physical address. Some may post an email address, but some may decline because of the problem with email spam these days.

2. Look for accreditation. If an attorney is on the Florida Bar or some other bar, they will broadcast it. Check credentials. Get references.

3. Do a background search. Type in the law firm’s name and see what comes up. Of course, realize that there will always be disgruntled clients wherever you go. Weigh any criticism and shining reviews.

4. Find a firm that covers a variety of litigation types. Specialists cost more money, but you can more adequately build a relationship with a firm that covers a wider spectrum of cases, in case you need something covered in the future.

5. Get testimonies of past or present clients. Many times, the firm will post testimonies of satisfied customers on the website. If you can, obtain a list of references of clients that you can call. Ask the customers of they were happy with the service they received.

Beware of the fly-by-night businesses. I have seen a number of them online. Its too bad that all they have to do is set up a slick website to dupe people… but do your legwork!

Guest Post: Making a LEGO chess set for my son

lego9827398

Note: From time to time, I allow guest posts by promising bloggers or advertisers who discuss similar issues related to me or my blogs. Here’s one of them. Since my own son is a LEGO fanatic (he even has his own LEGO blog), I found this post interesting.

Guest post written by Christine Adams

My son is absolutely in love with LEGOs. He thinks that they’re the greatest toys ever. I agree with him though and actually enjoy building all kinds of things with the blocks. Well, we went in this big LEGO store not that long ago while we were on vacation and he saw chess sets made out of blocks. Well I thought that it would be really fun to try and find him a LEGO chess set like he saw as one of his birthday gifts.

While I was looking through some different chess sets, I ran across a link for http://Wirelessinternet.net and after I read through it I decided to sign up for one of the internet packages that I saw on there for our home.

I found one LEGO chess set that I could buy but it was a whole lot of money. Instead, I found a tutorial on how to make your own LEGO chess set, which I’m going to work on. I may have to buy a whole bunch of extra blocks, but I think that it will be really neat in the end.

Sinks Online!

shp09724

Did you know that copper is an anti-bacterial metal? This is why it’s been so popular for water supply plumbing pipes. It’s relatively corrosive free and it resists the bacterial gunk that tends to accumulate in pvc and iron pipes.

I also love copper sinks. They look so Old World, so classy! If I ever re-do my half bath, I would love a Copper Sink.

Another terrific thing about them is, if purchased online from a reputable dealer, you can grab Copper Sinks for phenomenal prices! These sinks can run into the hundreds at a retail store. MR Direct Sinks and Faucets have great prices and a limited lifetime guarantee. Sweet. Check it out if you’re looking for a good sink for a low price.

Using Internet Resources for Land Contracts

Looking for a seller offering Home Land Contract? Look on the web! A land contract is a legally binding contract between seller and buyer– a seller allows the buyer to repay a home loan in installments while the buyer lives in the home. It’s an interesting way to buy a home– it eliminates the middleman (the bank) and allows the buyer and seller to make transactions between each other. I know of a few people who have purchased such home (the homes were usually damaged or in need of renovation), but these folks got incredible deals on the homes. There’s a good resource at HUD, too– see the resource overview on buying a home.

It’s not easy to find land contracts; it’s not like they are advertised very much. But the Internet has some great resources available to you- TheLandContract.com is one of them. You can search by location (zip code, city, state) and by price. The listings are usually very comprehensive– most have photos and very detailed information, such as extras, amenities, square footage, and etc. It’s a greta resource if you’re looking for a land contract. Plus, if you are like me and just want to keep tabs on the housing market in your area, it’s good to browse the listings. And if you are considering to offer a land contract for your home, check out the articles at the website for more information on how to go about it.

Well, the Internet has changed everything, hasn’t it? You can find just about anything, including your next “pad”! There’s a nifty website where you can search specifically for studio apartments anywhere in the United States. Let’s say you live in Anchorage, and want to research Nashville Studio Apartments– just punch in the location (city and state name, or zip code) and any other data you want to include (price range, bathrooms, etc), and MyStudioApartments will search for apartments and generate the results very quickly. Search results include a photo if there is one, information about the apartment, a small paragraph about the location, leasing options where applicable, and information on the lendor or realtor involved. It’s very organized and everything is right at your fingertips. It’s great!

MyStudioApartments.com also has some articles for the studio renter, such as decorating tips, information on localities, and more. It’s nice and simple to use.
