If you are holding on, STILL searching for perfect gift for the technology geek and audiophile in the family– or looking for a nice music accessory for your home– what have you been waiting for? Check out this classy PDX-60 from Yamaha. It works with your iPhone or iPod. It’s a wireless speaker system with the characteristic Yamaha quality and style. The PDX-60 will allow you to enjoy your games, music, and movies with superior lossless quality, all the while your iPod or iPhone is cradled in the unit. Yamaha uses their new technology yAired, which provides outstanding quality– wirelessly– without the interruptions, delays, and degradation sometimes associated with wireless devices. And yAired allows remote control operations, too, for volume control and and power on.
Plus, the design of the PDX-60 is swanky! It comes in four different colors to compliment your style. I love the teal, and the pink is smashing.

I have four music lovers in the family (the husband is a musician and the children are following his footsteps) and wouldn’t they love this as the centerpiece in the living room! The Yamaha PDX-60 is functional as well as beautiful– the wireless transmitter will recharge the iPod or iPhone as it sits in the charging cradle.
It’s slick, classy, affordable, and a perfect accessory for any iPod fan and music/movies lover. Check out the website for more details, to place an order, or on how to find a authorized Yamaha dealer in your area.

Here’s something that would make a spectacular gift for the music lover in your circle: the Yamaha PDX-60. Wow! It’s gorgeous. But then again, just about everything that Yamaha produces is gorgeous.
The Yamaha PDX-60 is an iPod speaker dock, at its most basic. But there’s a lot more to it. For one, it will play your games, movies, AND music from either your iPod or iPhone. The Yamaha PDX-60 is specially made for beautiful clarity and depth of sound. The functional side of the Yamaha PDX-60 is that it will also charge your iPod or iPhone, which is very nice! The Yamaha PDX-60 comes with a small, separate charging dock as well as a charger within the Yamaha PDX-60 itself. That would clinch the deal for me– the integrated charger as well as beautiful sounds proves that Yamaha pays attention to detail and is sensitive to customers’ needs. I just hate having all these chargers around the house!

The Yamaha PDX-60 is equipped with special Yamaha technology, called yAired. It’s a clear, wireless connection, with no annoying sound delays or diminished audio clarity. Yamaha promises an exceptional sound experience– the Yamaha PDX-60 features uncompressed wireless audio transmission, a remote control for easy operation, simple operation (no Bluetooth hassles), and no sound delays. It’s a very, very classy little piece of technology. I think it would be perfect for the music aficionado, just in time for the holidays! Checkout the Yamaha PDX-60 product page for more information, features, photos of the device, and retailers to get it.

Here’s a terrific new site for you music lovers out there: Kerchoonz. It’s a social network website built by musicians and music lovers, and you can listen and download the music for free. Amazingly, the music artists are paid for their music, while Kerchoonz offers the free srvice for music listeners. They basically share the advertising revenue generated from the site. This is a GREAT place to mingle if you are a musician, too– you can get your music to the masses. You can also make friends, watch videos, post messages on forums, chat, create playlists and do all the things that social network sites do. Very nice! The website is in Beta right now but it looks fantastic.
Kerchoonz also has these little “kwidgets” that you can put up on your own website, to inform your readers of new music and music you like. There’s a lot to see and do here– make a profile, build your own customized kwidgets, listen to and download music (and it’s all legal), and earn “points” to get stuff like upgrades and goodies. It’s all very nice and open, and the place seems to have a very active community.
The creators of Kerchoonz are refreshingly friendly and open. Read the rest of this entry »
