An Amazing Contest From Charter

This has got to be the motherlode of all Charter contests!

Charter High Speed Internet is having a Camaro Sweepstakes– yes, they are giving away a Camaro!

I’ve mentioned the Charter company before. I think they are a rising star in the world of Internet service. At a time when other companies are acting like Scrooges by clamping down on bandwidth usage, raising prices, and creating masses of dissatisfied customers, Charter is rising up to offer outstanding prices, excellent service, and promotions such as their latest Camaro Sweepstakes. Charter has has a string on contests– they’ve given away laptops (one a day for two months), HDTVs, Xboxes, a Hybrid car. Now, it’s a beautiful 2010 Camaro 2SS.

How to enter?

  • If you order any Charter service online, you are automatically entered.
  • The promotion is open only to residential customers who live in the Charter service areas.
  • There is no purchase necessary to enter.
  • The contest began September 15th and is running until November 26, 2009, at noon.
  • Be aware that sales tax IS included in the prize! Wow!
  • Go to charter.com/camaro to read more detailed rules and regulations.

Unfortunately, my rural area does not yet have Charter Internet service. :( I’ve been eagerly waiting for it; I hope it will be available by next year. You can check to see if your area is covered; just go to the Charter website to see. You can also find out more about the sweepstakes, Charter promotions, and great Charter services at Charter on Facebook. And you can keep up to date instantly on Charter news and developments with Charter on Twitter. Good luck!

Together We Can End Remote Rage

I know FOR A FACT that this has happened to you:

It’s night time. Everyone is sleeping soundly in their beds, but you can’t sleep and want to switch on the TV or movie for a little while. You press the “on” button on the TV, and BLAMMO!! 500 decibels of TV audio screams throughout the house! And worse, what’s playing at that moment is a Western with all the guns shooting off! Gah!! Where is that &@$%^@ REMOTE?! And which one is it?!

We’ve allllll been there. We all feel each others’ pain. How to resolve the situation? A universal remote? Hoh boy, don’t make me cry. Those things are SO LAME! Do you realize that when the remote batteries die and you place new ones in, you have to reprogram the WHOLE thing all over again?!?! :cuss: I found that out the hard way… and then I found out that I’d lost the programming paper with all the codes! GRRR.

RemoteGroup

OK OK, this post wasn’t intended to be a rant. Not exactly. It’s intended to be a SOLUTION. Because I found the hottest piece o’ technology, baby! It’s the Yamaha neoHD and it looks SWEET. It’s a remote control controller. It manages ALL your electronic entertainment components from ONE beautiful machine with ONE remote.

And better yet, there’s a Yamaha neoHD Sweepstakes going on. Win a Yamaha neoHD– an $800 value! Wowsa! Interested? Here’s how you enter:

  • At Twitter: tweet “I just entered to win a #neoHD b/c I have too many remotes, visit http://bit.ly/JMsW3 to enter!”
  • Go to http://izea.com/enter-yamahas-neohd-sweepstakes and leave a comment, saying why you desperately need the neoHD.

Feel free to get really creative, or rant a little. Me, I’m sick of the half-dozen remotes floating around this house– and two of them are the EXACT same! It’s maddening. The Yamaha neoHD is pretty slick. It would be so cool to win one. Check the sites for more information, and contest details. Togather we can end Remote Rage!

Ditch the Remotes with the Sleek Yamaha neoHD

Remember the good old days when life was simpler? That is– when we just had ONE remote? Maybe TWO? But holy cow, look at our skyscraper of remotes!

SkyscraperRemotes

And from what I hear, that’s a SMALL amount compared to other families that have Xboxes, 4-5 TVs, separate DVD players, BluRay players… I don’t know how people can handle them all. I once got a cheapo “universal” remote, but it died after a year. And that thing was very difficult to program, too. And it only accepted ONE TV and ONE DVD player. SO while it’s really great having all these remote-controlled electronics, drowning in all the remotes is not fun, not fun at all. And we have two remotes that are identical- crazy!!!!

RemoteGroup

OK, so if you are in the same remote boat as me, this will be very good news for you:

The Yamaha neoHD! This is a simple- so simple I could cry– electronic device that will effortlessly manage all your remotes devices and electronics equipment. Wow. There are some outstanding videos that show how the Yamaha neoHD works. It’s works using an HDMI connection and a flat-screen television device or projector.

In a nutshell, the Yamaha neoHD is a high-def video and audio device. It provides a very sleek and very simple remote control and console. You can control your entire home entertainment system with the Yamaha neoHD, including your HDTV, satellite box, BluRay and DVD player, your music stereo system, iPod, game console, and more. This is the new wave in remote electronic technology! And it looks so beautiful. The Yamaha neoHD controls all these devices from your TV and an onscreen interface. The “initial setup” of the device is intuitive, as well. The technology is amazing.

Nice thing is that there’s a Yamaha neoHD Sweepstakes – win a free Yamaha neoHD! This is one of the easiest contests I’ve ever entered. There are three ways to enter:

  • Go to the Yamaha neoHD Sweepstakes post at the IZEA Blog and leave a comment why you nee the Yamaha neoHD. It shouldn’t be too hard at all, especially if you are swimming in remotes like we are.
  • Go to Twitter and tweet this: “I just entered to win a #neoHD b/c I have too many remotes, visit http://bit.ly/JMsW3.” That’s how I first heard about the contest!
  • Visit OhGizmo.com and ForeverGeek.com, read their reviews about the Yamaha neoHD, and leave a comment.
  • You can find neoHD on Facebook, too– the official rules are there. Check the Yamaha neoHD Sweepstakes for more info.

This is a very cool contest, and the prize is definitely a winner– an $800 value. Check it out! The sweepstakes ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on August 24, 2009.

Big Charter Contest

Seems like a lot of companies are having contests or giveaways; that, or I am just noticing it more often. :) But one of the best giveaways I’ve seen so far is from Charter Internet service. I’m not surprised– Charter has been having some incredible promotions and giveaways. Last year, they gave away a Honda Hybrid car, and in another contest, they gave away laptops! Very nice!

So here’s another contest from Charter for Charter Communications customers– what do you do digitally that has changed your life? Maybe you get all your newsfrom the Internet now, or maybe you are able to see your son serving in Iraq on his webcam, or maybe you watch movies online instead of running out to the rental place. The Internet has certainly changed my life! I get all my education, news, communications, and entertainment from my beloved computer and Internet. Write your story and include photos or a video, and you could be the winner! It’s a really great giveaway, and if you have a talent for telling stories, you’d be a contender for sure!

Each week ffor eight weeks, Charter will give away either a 15″ laptop or a 52″ HDTV; at the end of the promotion, the grand prize winner will receive a 52″ HDTV AND a 15″ laptop AND a free year of the Charter Bundle (including Digital Cable with HD and DVR; Charter High Speed Internet, and Charter telephone service). It’s a really incredible giveaway. Charter usually doesn’t hold back when it comes to promotions, so this is a to check out. See Charter on Facebook or check out the Charter website.

Ho Ho Ho!

This is just too adorable! The guys who did this did a terrific job– this video is so witty and well done! That’s ME, virtually-sitting on Santa’s lap! lol!

This is a special little interactive video brought to us by the amazing dudes at CEIVA Logic. They produce the amazing CEIVA Digital Photo Frame. This isn’t just any old digital photo frame, either. This is an internet-connected social media tool for your friends and family. You can send or receive photos directly to your frame from anywhere in the world. I think the concept behind it is pretty amazing. The CEIVA Share program is very affordable– a one-year plan is on sale right now for $129.99. This would make a great gift for grandparents, or anyone. It’s best of you order by December 22, to ensure delivery by Christmas.

Back to the video, Santa says my wish is a “lofty request.” LOL. You’ll have to see the video here to see what I asked him for, lol. :-p

Also a benefit is the Got a Wish Sweepstakes being sponsored by CEIVA. I entered! There is no purchase necessary to win, and the sweepstakes is open to all U.S. residents 18 years and older (excludes reindeer and elves, sorry). Winners are chosen at random each day of the sweepstakes, to receive $500 a day! Check out the website for more details. And be sure to check out the CEIVA Digital Photo Frame, it would make a lovely gift.
