WordPress Themes Site

I’m on a roll! You can never have too many themes for your blog, now can you? ;) This one is WPRex – free wordpress themes. It touts itself as the “Best Free WordPress Themes For Free.” The themes are very nice. Many of them are the popular magazine style. I rather like the Elegant News and Magnalitus themes. I’ve been searching for a new theme for this blog (I have never found one that I liked *just right*), so I’ll be hunting again, when I have more time.

You can search by color, columns, theme topic, etc. No registration or login is required to download a theme, either (I hate that). Nice themes here, check them out.

More Good Blogger Templates

I’ve been scouring the World Wide Web for Blogger templates, recently. I’ve come across quite a few websites that have extremely classy templates! I’m happy to see that Blogger users have more choices available to them today. When I was with Blogger, 10 years ago now, the templates were horrid, and there were only a dozen or so available. Today, users have taken it on their own to provide some great templates– and most of them are free. Here are some I found:

BTemplates
Blogger Themes
Dante Araujo
Blogcrowds
Instant Shift’s List of 120 of Best Blogger Templates Around

I also have a handful of helpful tutorials for Blogger users at The Older Geek blog, which you may find helpful.

Happy blogging!

Simply Stunning WordPress Themes

As much as I would just love to keep this to myself (I like to have these things for my own resource), I HAVE GOT to tell you of a stunning collection of WordPress themes. I am awed. I am definitely going to use one of these– the problem is, which one! The site is TemplateLite.com. Simply stunning!

WordPress themes are becoming more and more graphic and very complex. I try to avoid the overly complicated themes, but if a theme has graphics that serve a practical use, I really like it. I’m so impressed with the new themes at TemplateLite.com. This is not a paid sponsorship, either! I just happened upon the website and was really blown away by the stuff. If you like color and style, you’ll like the themes!

Excellent WordPress Theme Package

Heads up for some excellent WordPress cms Themes: it’s WPRemix. It’s a beefy suite with everything you need to build a customized, classy WordPress-themed website. WPRemix handles more than just blogs– it’s adapted for page template editing, as well. It’s a very nice package!

I’m a fussy blogger– I don’t like those cookie-cutter themes that everyone else has. I tend to either purchase a unique theme, or get a package like WPRemix and customize it to the gills. If you’re looking for a unique or highly professional look to your online presence, you might want to see what WPRemix has to offer. There are some excellent tutorials on the site, too, including a good one on how to install WPRemix 2.3. With the WPRemix package comes the software to fully customize your site, an online support forum, theme admin options, pdf document help files, a grid-based layout system, and more. Very nice! Check out the website for loads more information, including a gallery with terrific examples of the various things you can do with this versatile software package.

Another Template

I know! I know! I have another template installed! How many have I tried the past six months?! lol. I change templates more frequently than bedsheets on bed frames, ha!

I just haven’t found the PERFECT template, I guess. I am horribly fussy. But this new one, Brian Gardner’s Revolution Code Blue, is very nice. This theme was one of the original Revolution themes, and was selling for $80!!!! But Gardner graciously released some of his themes to open source, and I got it for free. I really like it– it’s fast and very clean and classy-looking. What do you think? Should I keep it? Who knows what tomorrow may bring! lol.

More WordPress Themes

I am on the hunt, once again, for the “perfect” WordPress theme for my Renovator blog. The current theme, while beautiful and colorful, is a little bulky and I sometimes get CPU exceeded errors from it. Sigh. I have been on a major, major quest for some good themes.

The thing that always attracted me to WordPress is the sheer quantity and quality of classy themes, but that was 2-3 years ago. A lot of those old themes I’d admired are now outdated. I now like the functional little things– tabs, search bars, etc. So I’ve been doing a LOT of hunting. Here’s a list I made of some great places to find WordPress themes. I may update this post from time to time as I discover new sites.

Download at your own risk! Always check the files before uploading them into your FTP. I have visited every one of the sites I listed, but have not tried every theme.

I’m really amazed at the beauty of some of these themes, they are like themes on orovo detox or something! The problem is, I need a theme that I can customize, because I really like the personal touch. I’m being very picky. Maybe too picky, because I haven’t found one yet after searching through all these themes!
